Wednesday April 4th 2018 Today we had a field trip to Neyenesch Printers here near downtown San Diego, on this evening a gentleman named Steve was our tour guide, Steve is in charge of Business Development, Steve had informed us that Neyenesch Printers have been in existence since 1959, they started about 119 years ago, they are the 3rd or 4th oldest business here in San Diego, Neyenesch first got their start in the basement of the old Hotel Del Coronado, Nenyenesch is a custom manufacturing / commercial printing company, they do many different things they do not set themselves to one thing or another. They are a sheet fed printing company rather than a roll fed. They specialize in offset and digital printing.

Wednesday 3/21 Salk Institute Max Escobedo This evenings field trip was a trip to the Jonas Salk Institute, Jonas Salk being the Scientist who was responsible for the cure of polio, this evening we would be meeting Max Escobedo (Senior Designer/Art Director). Max was very informative we were there on the day of the Equinox which from inside the complex of Salk Institute directly in front of the a man made river called the River of Life showed an amazing sunset worthy of numerous pictures and ahs from the people and students attending the evening showcase. Max informed us that the entire complex we were standing on with entirely donated by the city of San Diego for all the vast research and cure for Jonas Salks cure for Polio which at that time the Mayor of San Diego was a survivor of so as a thank you the gift of the land was given. the entire walkways were constructed of Travertine. throughout the complex it void of signage, that was purposely d...
